Painting Holiday Accommodation and Package

This holiday is available for the amazing price of only £575 per guest (£350 per non painting partner). The holiday price includes 7 nights accommodation, bed, breakfast, 4 lunches, evening meals, all tuition, the day trip and transfers to and from the airport (Bergerac).

Lunches for the trips to St. Emilion, Bergerac and Bordeaux are not included as it gives us a chance to sample the local fayre and joie de vivre. On the final Day we will take a trip to Bordeaux visiting the Musee de Beaux Artes and the Cathedral with the whole day to explore this magnificent city culminating in an evening in the city with the evening meal (included in the price) at one of Bordeaux’s fine restaurants.

The Sketching and Painting Holiday

Is suitable for the complete beginner improver and more experienced artist covering a wide range of subjects and mediums

Day 1 – Arrival day Introductions and welcome to Manoir de Gurson, time to settle in and relax.

Day 2 – 9.30 Meet after breakfast for a short tutor introduction/demonstration and then it is off for a mornings drawing and/or painting. After lunch the afternoon is at your leisure to either continue painting or to explore the local surroundings. Lots of opportunity for some one to one tuition.

Day 3 – Tutor demonstration followed by your own sketching and painting projects in the extensive estate surrounding Manoir de Gurson with more one to one tuition.

Day 4 – A day trip to St. Emilion in the famous wine region. The whole town is a designated world heritage site. A glass of wine or two or perhaps a cup of coffee whilst sketching some of the wonderful surroundings and visit some of the small, local galleries. Truly a beautiful town!

Day 5 – A visit to Le Chateau de Gurson for sketching and painting with a picnic lunch and wine tasting, this is a most inspiring spot with some fantastic old buildings.

Day 6 – A trip to the famous town of Bergerac and its wonderful streets and riverside scenery.

Day 7 – A day in Bordeaux visiting the famous Musee des Beaux Artes , Bordeaux Cathedral and staying to spend the evening in Bordeaux where we can gaze at the wonderful reflections in the mirror pavement by the river and ending a wonderful day with a meal in a fine Bordeaux Restaurant

Day 8 – Saturday, Breakfast and sad farewells.
